Ashlie B. Ouzts is a television news producer at KENS 5. She began working in the news industry in 2014 during her senior year of undergrad at The University of South Carolina. There, she interned with ESPN and the SEC Network. While attending UofSC, Ashlie was involved in several different organizations including Gamecock Productions and Carolina News.

Born in Greenwood, SC but raised in Irmo, SC, Ashlie’s passion for media began as a young girl. She grew up playing basketball, volleyball and soccer and watching ESPN. She became fascinated with the sports industry and knew this was her calling. She also realized she enjoyed talking a lot, according to her parents, but didn’t realize it would it lead to her life-long career.

Ashlie enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures through food. She also enjoys volunteering with youth sports, local charities, art and music. This Carolina girl is proud to call San Antonio home.
